My Dearest Elsie,
Living far from the family we did not get the chance to spend the kind of time I would have liked to together. However, I often think of the time that we did get to be with eachother and it always puts a smile on my face, and I am sure you felt the same way. We did do a lot of fun things like remember when we went to the race track and my horse fell and they had to shot him. I told you I was bad luck! My favorite time of all was when we would go to the market and laugh about anything and everything. My time in the kitchen with you was the best. Of course you were always in the kitchen..lol. I was so blessed to have such a great mother in law and you have always and will always be in my heart. Rest in peace Maw Maw:)

My heart was broke when I learned of Elsie's death. I have so many, memories of her and ya'll since I was just 6 or 7 yrs old. Besides my own Mom, she could have been my 2nd. I have always admired her for her excellant homemaking skills such as sewing (b/c I was too short for long pants!), crafts, and especially her cooking! I have never had a better soup, or rice n'gravy and roast, and the best cooked fresh veggies than Elsie's. Please tell J.L he has been in my thoughts. I know the "farm" won't be the same without her, but ya'll have had many happy times together that will keep you smiling. I hope all of ya'll are well-take care, Love Kristie
