Joyce “Dot” York Ratley

Joyce “Dot” Ratley, 86, of Beaumont, died Friday, August 11, 2017. She was born on February 11, 1931, in Chireno, Texas, to Bertha Sebren York and Ebbin T. York, and had been a longtime resident of Beaumont. Joyce retired as a sales clerk from Walmart Supercenter, after many years of employment.

She is survived by her children, Raymond A. Ratley, Sr., of Beaumont, Aleta Peer, of Tennessee, Karen Seiley and her husband, Tom, of Beaumont, and Jeannette Guillory and her husband, Larry, of Fred; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Oscar York, of Nacogdoches; and sister, Maye Hanson, of Port Neches.

A gathering of Ms. Ratley’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at North End Baptist Church, 5115 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont. A private family committal will be at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
