Chase Taylor

February 28, 1994 - October 10, 2017

Chase Taylor, 23, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, October 10, 2017. He was born on February 28, 1994, to Rick and Cathy Taylor.

He was laid back from the beginning, happy and filled with joy. By the age of four he was on the fields of the YMCA playing Tiny Tots T- Ball and Soccer. His passion for these sports continued well into high school. Family weekends consisted of traveling with select teams and forming friendships that have lasted a life time. He also loved the outdoors. A weekend spent hunting or fishing with buddies, was a great weekend.

From beach trips, to camping, to ski trips, he always looked forward to spending time with aunts, uncles and cousins. He loved chances to spend time with family and especially enjoyed the holidays.

Chase graduated from Westbrook in 2012. Then began his college journey at Lamar University. He obtained his instrumentation degree from LIT and then continued pursuing his bachelors at Lamar University. While attending Lamar he was initiated into the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He immediately found a second home and became a leader to his brothers. Within this brotherhood, bonds were created that impacted Chase’s short life on planet earth, profoundly. His impact on his brothers will continue throughout generations.

Chase had just began his career as a process operator at Chevron Phillips. He loved his job and the people he worked with. His outlook was bright and he was even beginning to talk about purchasing his first home.

He never passed up a good filet mignon and looked forward to eating many more.

Chase’s charismatic personality, was most infectious. His smile always lit up any room he entered and he made a lasting impression to all of those he met. He was a fun loving, jokester with a huge heart of gold. It was apparent to everyone he knew that he definitely loved life.

While I never had the pleasure of meeting Chase, I know his mom and dad and I can only imagine what a great person he was knowing them. I'm so sorry that your time with him was cut so short, there are no words to express how you must feel. I pray that in time you will be comforted in knowing that he is rejoicing in Heaven and treasuring each moment he had with you and knowing that his time here with you, while short, was a testament to amazing parents, family and values.
