Clifford Harry Lanier

Clifford Harry Lanier, 76, of Silsbee, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017. He was born on May 31, 1941, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Vivian Kathleen Mitchell and Clifford Zannie Lanier. Clifford served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam and he later retired from the chemical industry.

Survivors include his children, Clifford Erik Lanier and his wife, Melanie and Vivian Hansen, both of Silsbee; Tina Lanier Gomez and her husband, Mark, of Gretna, Louisiana; and Calvin Lanier of Chalmette, Louisiana; grandchildren, Monique Lanier; Grant Kegley; Mallory Vignes and her husband, Seth; Gavin Gomez; Robert Fields; Collin Lanier; and Elijah Comadle; great-grandchildren, Christina Gray and Hayden Kegley; and sisters, Connie Green, Tresy Knapps, Joyce Tapp, Dollie Lanier, and Debbie Thornton.

Cilfford is preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Bell Summers; and his parents.

A private family committal for Mr. Lanier was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.
