Joseph Columbus Martin

Joseph Columbus Martin, Sr., 76, of Winnie, died May 30, 2012, at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas. Born September 5, 1935, in Opelousas, Louisiana, he was the son of Lucille George Martin and Phillip Martin.
Joseph worked for Twin Country Air/Ag, Inc., and enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his sons, Allen Martin and Larry Martin both of Moreno Valley, California, Arthur Martin of San Bernardino, California, and Joseph Martin, Jr. of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; daughters, Sarah Martin of San Bernardino, California, Carolyn “Bee Bee” LeDay and her husband, J. D. and Lori Martin all of Winnie, and Sevellia Martin of Beaumont; brothers, Eugene Martin of Victorville, California and Edward Martin and his wife, Earnestine of Pomona, California; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
A gathering of Mr. Martin's family and friends will be from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30: a.m., Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Broussard's, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Fairview Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Winnie.
