Bill Bradford

Bill Larkin Bradford, 86, of Kountze, died Wednesday, April 18, 2019. He was born on June 1, 1931, in Nashville, Arkansas, to Lucy Jane Cornish McClure Bradford and Thomas Luther Bradford. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army during Korean War.

Survivors include his brother, JL Bradford of Nashville, Arkansas; sisters, Shirley Bradford of Nashville, Arkansas; Betty Kibodeaux of Beaumont; Linda Hockaday of Nashville, Arkansas; and Patsy Whitehead and her husband, Floyd, of Texarkana, Arkansas; and sisters-in-law, Georgia Bradford of Wake Village and Lorraine Bradford of Nashville, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of sixty-years, Mary Bradford; brothers, Rufus “Buster” Bradford and his wife, Viola; Jewel McClure and his wife, Fern; Edwin Bradford; Wayne Bradford; Junior Bradford and his wife, Elsie; and RV Bradford; sisters, Ruby McDaniel and her husband, Isaac and Elsie Lakey and her husband, Delbert “Buddy”; sister-in-law, Virginia Bradford; and brother-in-law, Wilbert Kibodeaux.

While not having children of his own, he was a second dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather to a host of nieces and nephews who he loved as his own.

A gathering of Bill’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His interment will follow at R.S. Farmer Memorial Park, Silsbee.
