Cheryl Granger

September 10, 1949 - January 22, 2018

Cheryl Granger, 68, of Winnie, died Monday, January 22, 2018, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on September 10, 1949, to Olite Bourque Bertrand and Alpha Bertrand. Cheryl was formerly employed as manager at Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School Cafeteria and Jason’s Deli and was a hard worker. She also owned Granger Dirt Pit. She was currently employed at the Exxon gas station in Winnie.

Survivors include her sisters, Deanna LeBlanc of Winnie; Judy Freeman and her husband, Wayne, of Fannett; Peggy Meche of Winnie; Deborah Freeman of Fannett; and Letha Ann Bertrand of Beaumont; brothers, Donald Bertrand and his wife, Doris of Kountze; and Ferrill Bertrand and his wife, Terry, of Fannett; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their spouses.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bryan Granger; brother, Lyman Bertrand; and sister, Delores Gallier.

A gathering of Mrs. Granger’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with a Rosary recited at 11:30 a.m., and her funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, 223 Cemetery Road, Winnie.

shock and sadness over the sudden passing of a good friend. we were Neighbors for over 30 yrs, in recent times, we had many adventures, from the alligator in the garage, to the convergence of the SWAT team on our properties. I'm going to miss our visits and checking on each other to see if you were doing okey. Soar with the angels my friend, you will be missed.
