Diana Williams

January 31, 1947 - February 10, 2018

Diana Elizabeth Lott Williams, 71, of Kountze, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 10, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-two years, Terry Williams; her sisters, Pam McCauley and her husband, Tommy, of Beaumont; Susan Smith, of Kountze; and Janet Strahan and her husband, Wes, of Georgetown; daughters, Shelley Deaver and her husband, Chet, of Kountze; Kimberly Boutwell and her husband, Kevin, of League City; grandchildren, Lauren Deaver and her fiancé, Tyler, of Beaumont; Caleigh Spence and her husband, Daulton, of Kountze; Cade Deaver, of Cedar Park; and Kinsley Boutwell, of League City; Diana was so excited to be expecting her first great-grandchild (baby Spence), in July; she had many nieces and nephews, that she loved and adored as her own grandchildren.

Diana and Terry were longtime residents of Kountze, where they have lived together for more than fifty years. She devoted over forty years of her life to Hooks Title and Abstract Company. Diana was still employed there and proud to be working alongside her granddaughter, Caleigh. She was a proud member of the Kountze Women’s Club for over forty years, where she enjoyed supporting the Kountze Public Library. Anyone that knew her, knew she was good at many things, but what she was best at was being “Gramme”. Diana was so proud of her daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren. She spent many years traveling with her daughters and the Kountze Lionettes where she was known, loved, and remembered as “Old Lady”. Over the last few years she became the Warren Lady Warriors biggest fan. She never missed a chance to be in the stands watching her granddaughter coach her basketball and softball teams. Diana also loved getting to go watch her youngest granddaughter Kinsley’s orchestra concerts. She loved her life and everyone that was in it. Diana brought joy to everyone around her. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and the entire Kountze community.

Diana is preceded in death by her parents, Bennie Franklin Lott and Jane Richardson Lott.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kountze Public Library in her memory, http://www.kountzelibrary.org/services/memorial-gift-form.html.

I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother and Grandmother. Diana and I were young children together in Sunday School at Highland Ave. Bapt. Church in Beaumont. Jane Lott was our teacher one year. We went to Bingman Elem. and were in Blue Birds together with my Mom as the BB Leader. (Think Girl Scouts!) I am reflecting on the good memories of times shared and I hope you do that, too and find comfort in her loss.

Sorry to hear of Gramme's passing. We only knew here a short time but just from that we knew that she was a great lady loved by all. Condolences to the family.

GRAMME WAS DEFINITELY THE WARREN LADY WARRIORS' BIGGEST FAN! SHE WAS ALWAYS ENCOURAGING OUR GIRLS TO "FOLLOW THROUGH" WITH THEIR SHOTS, "USE YOUR LEGS" AT THE FREE THROW LINE, AND COULD MAKE A REFEREE SHIVER IN HIS SHOES WHEN SHE YELLED AT HIM ABOUT A BAD CALL! OUR FAMILY LOVED GRAMME JUST LIKE SHE WAS OURS. WE ARE DEFINITELY GOING TO MISS HER PRESENCE FOR SOFTBALL SEASON, BUT OUR GIRLS WILL BE PLAYING THIS SEASON IN HONOR OF GRAMME! I CAN'T FILL YOUR SHOES BUT I'LL SURE BE AT MOST GAMES & WILL BE SURE TO SHOUT ENCOURAGEMENT TO THE GIRLS IN YOUR HONOR! WE LOVE YOU & MISS YOU! RIP GRAMME!
