Helen “Jane” Berwick

Helen “Jane” Berwick, 72, of Nederland, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018. She was born on June 13, 1946, in Port Arthur, to Helen Lee Whitehead Fornols and John Jim Fornols.

Jane enjoyed bingo, shopping, and loved participating in her grandchildren’s activities. She also enjoyed soap operas and classic movies.

Survivors include her son, Robert Wayne Berwick and his wife, Corina, of San Antonio; daughters, Pamela Dawn Harvey and her husband, James and Denise Darlene Metcalf and her husband, Michael, all of Nederland; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild and another on the way; brother, John “Ricky” Fornols and his wife, Cheryl, of Orangefield; sister, Kathy Fornols of Vacaville, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Homer Preston Berwick, Jr.; and two brothers.

A gathering of Mrs. Berwick’s family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 17, 2018, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A private family entombment will be held at a later date at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
