Jack Galloway
Jack Edward Galloway, 86, of Sugar Land, formerly of Beaumont, died October 13, 2018, at Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, of natural causes.
Jack was born in Jacksonville, Texas, in 1932 to Harvey and Diana Galloway. He graduated from South Park High School. Jack served in the United States Navy from 1951-1953 in Pensacola, Florida. He met his wife, Joan, in 1950, and they courted through his time in the service and were married May 29, 1953. Above all, he loved his family the most. Jack never missed an opportunity to make everyone laugh, especially all of his grandchildren. He had a gentle spirit and a giving heart. Jack owned Heritage Real Estate and Galloway’s Pork House in Beaumont where he was known for his smoked sausage, boudain, and hog head cheese, while Joan was happily engaged in real estate.
He is survived by his wife and three sons; Glenn; Gregory and his wife, Sissi; Gary and his wife, Jennifer; and Jack’s sister, LaNelle and her husband, Pete Cuniff; his eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A gathering of Mr. Galloway’s family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., with his memorial service to follow at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

I have great memories of Mr. Galloway. I remember going to "work" sometimes on a Saturday at the pork house when really we told jokes and sampled some of the sausage. He was a great friend to my dad when they used to "workout" at the Wellness Canter. They more or less did the same thing, told jokes and sampled the workout machines. I know he will be missed.

My fondest memories is when uncle jack. Yea that's what we called him all our lives. Is when he owed a meat market out on Washington blvd. His crackling were to die for. R.I.P. UNCLE JACK Prayers for the family.

I have many fond memories of Uncle Jack,. But one that stands out the most is when we were little, he would take us to his meat market. He thought it was so funny to play jokes on us with those dang hog eye balls ! LOL...........it would freak us out and he would do his "notorious laugh" that we all know too well !!!! Your jokes, infectious laughter and your kind and sweet spirit will be miss by ALL !!! We love you Uncle Jack !!!

My memories of Jack......lots of laughter and love.......can't think of one instance where he wasn't smiling, complimentary, kind, helpful, joking and just loving life. He loved and adored Joan and his Family. He was curious and mischievous. Taught the lessons of life by the way he lived it! Will be greatly missed!

What an infectious laugh Jack had. Even when his jokes were not that funny you couldn't help join in his laughter which started long before the joke was finished. This world needs more Jack Galloways. I enjoyed being around Jack and Joan and witnessing a true love story. My heart goes out to the family and especially to Joan. Love you girl and love the fact that you had your friend and lover for so many years.

Jack Galloway coached me in Little League along with my Dad and I have never forgotten this big, friendly man who always made you feel like you were the best kid in the world.
