Jack Norsworthy

Jack Preston Norsworthy, 86, of Beaumont, died Sunday, June 10, 2018. He was born on September 8, 1931, to Gertrude Bevil Norsworthy and Charles Norsworthy, who served in World War I, in Kirbyville. He was a United States Army veteran having served in the Korean War. Jack was a dedicated Christian. He loved the piney woods of east Texas and savored the moments with his grandsons, Michael and Paul.

Survivors include his daughter, Susan Smith and her husband, Andrew, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Paul Smith of Groves and Michael Smith of Sugarland; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonnie Norsworthy; brothers, Charles Norsworthy who served in World War II, Bill Norsworthy who served in the Korean War, and Earl Norsworthy who served in the Vietnam War; and sister, Mary Nunn.

A gathering of Mrs. Norsworthy’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive. A graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Antioch Cemetery, San Augustine.
