James Street

October 1, 1939 - July 18, 2019

RIP Jim Street! I’ve always been grateful you played Left End and not Right End when you were at Kansas! My condolences to your family!

So long, old friend. We shared lots of good times on the gridiron and in striving to grasp the meaning of this great journey we shared as fellow Laplanders (where Louisiana laps over into Texas). As youngsters and old men, we still scored a few touchdowns and lived a long time. Sorry to see you go. Seems like yesterday when we lived in the Red Brick House with Coan and McFarland. And you drove my car into Potter's Pond on a cold, snowy night up in Lawrence, Kansas. Adios. RIP, old chum. My honor that we were great friends. It's all good.
