Joan Edwards

Joan Cay Edwards, 84, of Beaumont, died Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Calder Woods, Beaumont. She was born on July 4, 1933, to Virginia Caywood Annand and Robert Nathaniel Annand, in Greeley, Colorado. Joan had a boisterous, unique laugh and was a devout Christian and devoted wife and loving mother.

Survivors include her son, Bryan Edwards of Beaumont; daughter, Susan Carol McCann and her husband, Peter, of Humble; son, Stephen Fredrick Edwards and his wife, Angela, of Beaumont; brothers, Robert Rodney Annand of St. Louis, Missouri and Gerald Nathaniel Annand and his wife, Sherrye, of Beaverton, Oregon; and grandchildren, Drake Robert Edwards and Heather Hill McCann.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert S. Edwards; and daughter, Virginia Cay Edwards.

A gathering of Mrs. Edwards’ family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her memorial service to follow at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018, at First Christian Church, 5290 North Caldwood Drive, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A private committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
