Luzie Elfriede Kitchen

Luzie Elfriede Kitchen, 82, of Port Neches, died Monday, April 16, 2018. She was born on June 23, 1935, in Breslau, Germany, to Berta Maria Wentzel Scholz and Erwin Willi Scholz.

Survivors include her son, Jorg Kitchen and his wife, Thuy, of Port Neches; daughter, Silke Gauweiler of Pforzheim, Germany; grandchildren, Logan Kitchen and his wife, Nhu, Victoria Kitchen, Seth Kitchen, Binh Kitchen, Cai-linh Kitchen, Sasha Gauweiler, Andy Gauweiler, and Lisa Gauweiler; brother, Walter Scholz; and sister, Renate Scholz. She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, James Kitchen.

A gathering of Mrs. Kitchen’s family and friends will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2018, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m., at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, 101 Block Street, Port Neches.
