Lydia Castro, 55, of Beaumont, died Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on July 25, 1962, to Shirley Gene Bryson Leverkuhn and Johnny James Leverkuhn, in Beaumont. Lydia was a graduate of South Park High School and received a degree in Liberal Arts from Lamar University. She was an “avid collector” and enjoyed photography.

Survivors include her children, Auri Tineo; Dannon Castro and his wife, Heather; and Alexis Sandifer; grandchildren, Gabriel German, Kade Teague, Sage Horton, Liam Castro, Lauryn Darby, Ashlyn Darby, and Jason Darby; sister, Shirlene Smith and her husband, Tommy; brother, John Leverkuhn; partner, Tony Rodriguez; and nephews, Jason Smith and Chris Smith.

A gathering of Ms. Castro’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
