Mike Huddleston
Mike Huddleston, 46, of Hamshire, died Friday, July 12, 2019. He was born on April 30, 1973, in Port Lavaca, to Shirley Jean Carter and Cecil Bundick. Mike was a tugboat tanker man/steersman in the shipping industry. He was a handyman and enjoyed cooking and barbequing. Most importantly, he loved his porch time with his family and being on the waterways with other seamen.
Survivors include his wife, Heidi Bushnell; daughters, Cheyenne Huddleston, Tiffany Huddleston and her fiancé, Javon, Michelle Huddleston, and Brittany Huddleston; stepsons, Eric Ding, Spencer Ding, and Dalton Bushnell; grandchildren, Ava Ding, with Aubrey and Ja’Layla on the way; sisters, Lisa Parsons and her husband, Ricky, of Buckeye, Arizona, and Donna Laurent and her husband, Larry, of Rogers, Arkansas; brother, Kevin Huddleston, of Willmar, Minnesota; and numerous, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his father; and sister, Tammy Huddleston.
A gathering of Mr. Huddleston’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2019, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Broussard’s, Winnie. A private family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

Mike you are the father of my granddaughters and we still was friends. You always kept in touch. Gonna miss all the texting and every once in a while a call. Gonna miss your texting to just to bugg me. But I still cared and loved you.. Fly high and enjoy the peace and the beauty of heaven. I know you will be missed by everyone more so by family. Michael, never would I have imagined that I'd be saying goodbye to you before you'd say goodbye to me. It doesn't seem fair that the young go before the old., but it's God's will. I am so happy that you FaceTime me a few months ago, we had a good conversation, we laughed & talked away. In April I wished you a happy birthday & you said, " thank you, sweetheart & I love you". ,then I wished you a happy July 4th & you responded back by saying " Happy 4th & once again told me you loved me. I have more peace because of that. Even though we didn't actually talk, we texted which is the basic way ppl communicate these days. Im so thankful for our text because they were so recent.. I will miss you but I know your at peace. Until we meet again, I'll carry you in my heart ❤ I was blessed being your aunt! love you always and forever.

Pasty Rainwater, you sound like a wonderful person. I just met Michael's girls at his funeral. The last time I seen the girls they were very young. Brittany wasn't even born. They all are beautiful. Now Aubrey Grace is here and she's beautiful & perfect. God how I wish he could be here holding her. His life was cut way to short. I miss him so much. He recentlly FaceTimed me & then we started talking on messenger. The last time we spoke on messenger was July 5th. Then I get a call that he passed away. Still so unreal but I know the reality. It was nice talking to you & God bless you. ❤
