Ronald Wayne Jones
Ronald Wayne Jones, 65, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, September 11, 2019. He was born on December 23, 1953, to Frances Lyon Jones and Melbourne Clinton Jones, Sr., in Orange, and was a United States Navy veteran. Ronald retired from Gulf States/Entergy after forty years of service. He was a devoted family man that took care of his family and was an avid Houston Texans fan.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Hilbun Jones; sons, Justin Wayne Jones and Clinton Alfred Jones; and daughter, Miranda Forsythe and her husband, Ryan, all of Beaumont; mother, Frances Lyon Jones of Orange; sister, Millicent Goodwin and her husband, Jim, of Newburyport, Massachusetts; brother, Larry Umipeg and his wife, Judy, of Xalapa, Mexico; sisters, Renee Kelley and her husband, Charles, of Forest, Mississippi; Carla Lavergne and her husband, Bubba, of Mauriceville; Annette Moore and her husband, Dale, of Dripping Springs; and Melba Jones of Austin; and grandson, Alister Kenneth Forsythe of Beaumont.
He is preceded in death by his father, Melbourne Clinton Jones, Sr.; sister, Lori Smith; and brother, Melbourne Clinton Jones, Jr.
A gathering of Mr. Jones’ family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
