Yoland Trahan

April 23, 1933 - June 6, 2018

Yoland Mary Trahan, 85, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Oakridge Assisted Living Home, Beaumont. She was born on April 23, 1933, to Teresa Plesant Gaspard and Onize Gaspard, in Gueydan, Louisiana. She loved playing cards with her family, listening to Cajun music, and watching the Astros and Cowboys.

Survivors include her daughter, Chrissie Hartman and her husband Rick; son, Randy Trahan and his wife, Melanie, all of Beaumont; grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Talbert and her husband, Jamie; Chad Hartman and his wife, Julie; Brett Hartman and his wife, Nikita; Paul Trahan and his wife, Kristi; and Kyle Hays; and great-grandchildren, Trey and Jacie Talbert, Cason Hartman, Kinsley Hartman, Keema Hartman, June Hartman, Ariella Hartman, Kayden Fraser, Triniti Hays, Kullen Hays, Aiden Trahan, and Kai Trahan.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Trahan and nine siblings.

A gathering of Mrs. Trahan’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 8, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2018, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4 Bayou Brandt Drive, Suite B, Beaumont, Texas 77706 or the Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 Southeast 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, Florida 33131.

I recall vividly sitting in the living room at Ms Yoland’s and Mr Henry’s house in Teryll Park in the late 70s while my mother, Phyllis, was having coffee with one or both of them. Chrissy and Randy I will always remember your parents fondly. They were both good people. I’m terribly sorry for your loss.
