Alberta Gertrude Jordan Freeman, 89, of Sour Lake, died Friday, June 22, 2018. She was born on October 10, 1928, in Kountze, to Bertie Maye Weaver Jordan and Mert Jordan.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Ennis and her husband, Ronnie, of Onalaska; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Ann Hales and her husband, Joe, of Cleveland; brother, Mert “Bud” Harmon, Jr. of Lumberton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of fifty-nine years, Charlie “Buddy” Freeman; sons, Charles Norman Freeman and Elford Wayne Freeman; grandsons, Gerald Lee Ennis and Chuck Freeman; great-grandson, Aiden Seth Freeman; and two sisters, Ruby “Pet” Rios and Gerald Mae Green.

A gathering of Alberta’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her service at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her interment will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Kountze.

The family would like to give special thanks to Pine Ridge Health Care and Heart to Heart Hospice for the loving care given to Alberta.

Tp the family of Mrs. Dee I am so sorry to hear this news. I had the honor to go to church with Mr. And Mrs. Freeman for many years at First Christian Church in sour lake. They were both such wonderful people that help me with my walk with our Lord. She will be really missed. I loved her so much. To the family I will be praying for your peace and strengthen during this hard time. Thanks for all you did for me Mrs. Dee give Mr. Busy a big hug for me. Until we meet again .I love you
