Antonio Moreno

Antonio “Papi” Moreno, 65, of Winnie, died Tuesday, June 25, 2019. He was born on June 4, 1954, to Ramona Reyes Moreno and Benjamin Moreno, in Coahuila, Mexico. Papi worked construction.

Survivors include his former wife and mother of his children, Luz Barcenas; sons, Eduardo Moreno and his wife, Audrey; Juan Moreno; Pedro Moreno and his wife, Erin; and Hipolito Moreno and his wife, Kristy; daughters, Sagrario Herrera and her husband, Narciso; Anna Rocha and her husband, Andres; Elizabeth Herrera and her husband, Cirilo; Rebecca Moreno; and Lucy Gomez; grandchildren, Hezekiah Victoria; Jasmine Devore; Devin and Emerald Moreno; Tristan Faulke; Alexis, Adrian and Katelyn Anaya; Jose “Tito”, Jesus, Luz Maria and Ricardo Martinez; Andres Rocha; Selena, Damion, Leland and Nathan Moreno; Hector Velazquez; Domingo Velazquez, Jr.; Anna and Miguel Herrera; Marcos, Trevor and Sophia Moreno; and Anthony Gomez; and great-grandchildren, Saint Anaya and LaMiracle Divon.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Jose Alberto Anaya.

A gathering of Mr. Moreno’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 27, 2019, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 28, 2019, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, with his interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
