Billy G. Head

Billy G. Head, 92, of Port Neches, died Monday, September 25, 2017. He was born on April 1, 1925, in Center, to Beulah Allison Dean Head and Henry Alva Head.

Billy took pride in his immaculate yard and enjoyed walking his Jack Russell Terrier, Bessie. He loved working and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Billy was a Mason and a member of Cosmopolitan Lodge in Port Arthur. He loved to get dressed to the nines.

Survivors include his sons, Dr. Jerald Lynn Head and his partner, Sergio Batez and Donald Ray Head and his wife, Vicki; daughter, Jennis Jan McCown; sons, Dennis Dan Head and his wife, Roberta and David Wayne Head and his wife, Stacy; grandchildren, Joshua, Kelli, T.J., Mandy, Jennifer, Jessica, Jordan, Bradley, Matthew, Daniel, Riley, Aubrey, and Bailey; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Harper, Henry, Hudson, Marin, Maggie, Raegan, Remi, Rhenley, and Wyatt; and sister-in-law, Patsy Ann Lloyd.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen Alma Lloyd; granddaughter, Lindsey Rae; brothers, James Lloyd Head and Rex Earl Head; sisters, Lorean Head Kendrick and Shirley Ruth Head Brown; son-in-law, Bruce Edward McCown; and faithful companion, Bessie.

Billy wanted to acknowledge Freddy Moak and John Borzilleri for their friendship and help.

A gathering of Mr. Head’s family and friends will be from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2017, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.

I will always remember your dad. He always had a smile for me. We've worshipped together since I was a kid - Bill and Helen are together now, as they should be. So sorry for your loss. Praying for you all and will be at the funeral later today
