Daniel Ener

April 20, 1923 - October 1, 2018

Daniel Eldon “Jiggs” Ener, 95, of Beaumont, died Monday, October 1, 2018. He was born on April 20, 1923, to Mary Martha “Mattie” McNaughten Ener and James Washington Ener in Hemphill. Jiggs was a United States Navy veteran having survived Pearl Harbor in World War II. He retired as an operator in the petrochemical industry.

Survivors include his daughters, Jerri Frazier and her husband, Gary of Silsbee and Jodie Shirley and her husband, Tom, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Kate Shirley, Brooke Fergon, Matt Keneson, Matt Frazier, Amanda Hatton; great-grandchildren, Nick Fergon, Shelby Frazier, Charlie Frazier, Haylee Frazier, Rueben Hatton, and Hannah Hatton.

A gathering of Mr. Ener’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
