The world is dimmer now. The light emanating from Don illuminated all of our lives. In the parlance of a navigator, Don kept us away from the shoals and rocks, and kept us in safe waters. His light burned so brightly, and gave guidance and love to family and friends steadfastly. I know that he will Rest In Peace, knowing that we will all become lighthouses for our families, and for Kathy, Chad and Liz. Peace, my friends.

We are all thankful for the times we spent with Don as his wisdom and humor were always welcome. He was a consummate artist on the computer and I was always in awe of his talent. I will miss him terribly but also take some joy in knowing that he is now back to playing his guitars. Until we meet again, Godspeed Don Johnson.

Don was an amazing man, friend, and grandpa! I know that Adam and Clara loved being with him and grandma Kathy so much! He always had an easy laugh and a gentle spirit. All that knew him will miss him greatly. We are so happy that we were able to share this life with him although for too short a time . I hope that Kathy and Chad and Elizabeth are comforted with happy memories and his love for them. May God grant you peace.

Ms. Kathy, Chad, and Elizabeth. My heart goes out to you. Don was my Dad’s (Bernie) best friend and I know his heart is broken with this news. My brother and I have very fond memories of your Dad and family, and pray that you will find comfort and peace in knowing your Dad has left an abundance of beautiful moments and memories in the lives of so many. Sincerest condolences from my family to yours, and peace be with you all.

My first job ever was as a busboy at Chad's - Don was a very nice guy who was kind enough to hire me when I was 15.

Don was such a sweet, kind man. His love for his family was obvious to anyone that knew him. He was a loving, supportive husband to my friend, Kathy and I feel fortunate to have known him. He was also a music lover, which moved him even higher in my opinion. He will be remembered and missed.
