Doris Marie Wright

Doris Marie Wright, 72, of Beaumont, died Sunday, April 14, 2019. She was born on March 7, 1947, to Nancy Reynolds Bowen and Lorenzo Bowen, in Annapolis, Maryland. Doris trained and graduated from the Lamar Nursing Program. She enjoyed baking and often baked cakes, cookies, and wedding cakes.

Survivors include her husband, Rayford Wright; son, Dwayne Wright and his wife, Dawn, of Cleveland; daughter, Kimberly Wright of Texas; sister, Peggy Sue Reynolds; grandchildren, Kendric Wright and his wife, Shelby; Kamerin Wright and his wife, Ashley; Kevin Meduna; and Ashley Meduna; and great-grandchildren, Emery Wright, Eli Wright, Keighlynn Wright, and Anistlynn Wright.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lorenzo Smokey Bowen; and sisters, Patsy Bowen, Louise Bowen, Debbie Bowen, and Linda Bowen.

A gathering of Mrs. Wright’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 245 Highway 90, China. Her interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
