Dorothy George

Dorothy George, 91, of Lumberton, died Monday, September 18, 2017. She was born on April 17, 1926, in Portland, Oregon, to Aurelia and John Michalik.

Survivors include her sons, Tommie George and Gary George and his wife, Patty, all of Lumberton; grandchildren, Rhonda Castro and her husband, Charlie, of Dickinson and Dustin Willingham and his wife, Krista, of Splendora; great-grandchildren, Sarah Middaugh and Alex Castro, both of Austin, and Zoey and Levi Willingham, both of Splendora; brothers, Charlie, Frankie, Johnny, Raymond, Paul, and Eddie Michalik; sisters, Aggie Winans and Lucille Henderson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Weldon E. George; parents; brother, Jimmy Michalik; and sister, Janie Tedder.

A gathering of Mrs. George’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
