Words cannot even begin to express what a great man and dr he was. Dr. Ataya had been my dr since I was around 3, I am now 40. He was also my cousins dr and my daughters dr. No matter what he told us to do to get better, we did it and it always worked. Can't think of one time that I ever doubted him. I went to school w Raj, as we are the same age. I can't imagine what the family is going hey at this time. They were all incredibly lucky to be able to call him their father or mentor. They broke the mold w him, I am extremely thankful for having the opportunity to learn from him and his wonderful wife.

When we moved to Beaumont, I was a sophomore in H.S. & you all had the clinic on Laurel St. I still vividly remember Ramona dancing around the playroom lobby area. Two years later he saved my life., seven years later he was a mentor, and always a respected friend, colleague, and community member. He is one of those people I wish were invincible. Prayers and condolences to all of the Ataya family.

Chérie (David Adams)

Dear Susan precious Ramona and Hani I Will Always Love You for the love you showed my precious David and his special needs I would actually drive David from Houston and later Dallas to see Dr. Ataya because he was the only pediatrician I really trusted with David. I also remember Hani driving Dr. Ataya to my house to check on David once when he was in a crisis and Ramona I've loved you ever since you were 4 years old playing in your daddy's office with David. You would walk in there holding David's hand and saying Daddy you better not give David a shot today! Susan I've always loved you and your family and I always will

We are so sorry to hear that a wonderful man is no longer with us. He was with me during the difficult births of both my children. He was kind, compassionate, and calming. I remember my son was very ill and Dr Ataya was at home and couldn't leave. He gave me his home address so he could see what was wrong. I will be forever grateful for him for his compassion to a new, young mother. May God bring his family and friends comfort with wonderful memories. RIP Dr Ataya! Will you be missed!
