Earl Alsdurf

August 3, 1954 - July 28, 2019

Earl Alsdurf, 64, of Lumberton, died Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Serenity Assisted Living, Beaumont. He was born on August 3, 1954, to Norma Lee Phillips Alsdurf and Johnny Alsdurf, in Liberal, Kansas.

Earl retired after twenty years as an operator at Huntsman in 2010 and then went on to work in loss prevention for HEB. He belonged to the Spindletop Street Rodders and had a love of antique cars and growing flowers. Earl was passionate for rodeo and was a lifetime member of the YMBL. He was a true cowboy who rode broncs and bulls in his earlier years.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Alsdurf; daughter, Priscilla Alsdurf; son, Trenton Alsdurf and his fiancée, Kim; grandchildren, Cecilia Pierce, Stockard Pierce, and Madelyn Alsdurf; sister, Rhonda Stadler and her husband, David; brother, Jack Alsdurf and his wife, Teresa; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; mother of his children, Karletta Alsdurf; and infant brother, Larry Alsdurf.

A gathering of Mr. Alsdurf’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont. A reception will follow at Calvary Baptist Church, 3650 Dowlen Road, Beaumont, upon their return from the cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Serenity House and Kindred Hospice for their exceptional care.

Earl enjoyed everything he did. He was in my parents Sunday school class at church. The last time I saw him was at a cook out at my parents home. By that time he had lost his ability to speak. But you could tell he enjoyed being with everyone else. Until we meet again in heaven. Praying for comfort and rest for Mary after this long battle she and Earl fought.
