Elizabeth Pelt

Elizabeth Joan Pelt, 83, of Nederland, died Monday, August 19, 2019, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She was born on January 10, 1936, in Hodge, Louisiana, to Versel Joe Spell Young and Miller Garland Young.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Sherer and her husband, Kirk; brother, Garland Young and his wife, Brenda; grandchildren, Justin Lucas Pelt and his wife, Julia, Megan Pelt, Ryan Sherer and Ashlyn Sherer; and great-grandchildren; Cheyenne Pelt and Wyatt Pelt.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, E. L. Pelt; son, Gerald Pelt; and sister, Alice Faye Holland.

A gathering of Mrs. Pelt’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2019, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. The interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
