We did not know Mr. Brown but have only good words regarding him from our daughter, Mona. I am sure all that knew him will miss him. Our condolences to the family.

I knew I. N. from my early years with the Texas Forest Service, starting in 1990. I worked with other researchers on the Seed Orchard from time to time, researching seed and cone insects. I. N. was always "down to earth," honest and helpful. I always enjoyed visiting with him. I am so glad I was able to attend his retirement function and meet family members. You all are in my prayers. I know this is a difficult time for you.

IN was one of the most outstanding individuals it has been my pleasure to know. He showed us all what it meant to be dedicated to his job, how to turn that job into a calling, and how to live a full life with a positive attitude in the face of long odds. The world is a sadder place without him.
