Jeanne F. Dougher

Jeanne F. Dougher (“Lil’ Bit”), 90, of Beaumont, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. She was born on December 10, 1929, to Veronica Yokubenas Freismuth and Carl A. Freismuth, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Jeanne was predeceased by her husband and love of her life, William E. (“Bill”) Dougher.

She lived life to the fullest, as all who knew her can attest. “Daylight’s burning, things to do!” was her mantra. You often found her in her art studio, on the tennis courts, tending her yard, saltwater fishing, sunbathing with a good book, working tirelessly for the Women’s Shelter or, her absolute favorite, spinning on the dance floor.

Jeanne’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. The legacy of Jeanne’s kind and compassionate spirit, exceptional artistic talent, passion for dancing and zest for life will live on through them. She truly was our dancing queen.

Jeanne is survived by her son, Pat Dougher and his wife, Bess, of Grapevine; daughters, Sherry Brown and her husband, Rick, of Kingwood and Lauren Randolph and her husband, John, of Beaumont; son, Tim Dougher and his wife, Julie, of Houston; grandchildren, Brian Dougher and his wife, Randi; Brad Dougher; Ryan Carreño and her husband, Johann; Katie Brown; Lindsay Zambardino and her husband, Mark; Jordan Randolph and his fiancé, Kaitlynn Duplechin; Lewis Dougher; Caroline Dougher; and Clint Dougher; great-grandchildren, Logan Zambardino, Madison Zambardino, Evelyn Dougher, Wesley Dougher, and Isabella Dougher.

Please join us in celebrating Jeanne’s life. A gathering of Mrs. Dougher’s family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont followed by a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s. Please observe social distancing guidelines.

To Brenda Travis, dear friend and caregiver, you mean the world to us for the priceless opportunities you gave our Mom. She adored the weekly dancing, field trips, spa days and treasured visits with Tia. You two were definitely “partners in crime.”
