Jimmy Hennigan

August 22, 1942 - February 14, 2018

Jimmy Donald Hennigan, 75, of Sour Lake, died February 14, 2018. He was born on August 22, 1942, to Jewel and Sylvan Hennigan, in Westlake, Louisiana, and is a United States Army veteran. Jimmy, a devoted husband, father, and PawPaw, loved to cook and was known for his potato salad, gumbo, and spaghetti and meatballs. He had been a member of Amelia Baptist for forty-three years.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Hennigan; daughter, Terrie Parker and her husband, Rickie, of Orange; sons, Van Hennigan and his wife, Tammy, of Frisco and Trey Hennigan and his wife, Yamelis, of Pearland; brother, Cecil Hennigan and his wife, Yaeko and sister, Sybil Taylor, all of Beaumont; brother, Albert Hennigan of Alexandria, Louisiana; sisters, Jeanette Williams of Tioga, Louisiana; Bertha Barrow of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and Maxine Wilkins of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Dustin Daigle, Drew Daigle, Summer Parker, Dakota Parker, Jessica Hennigan, Jacob Hennigan, Jordan Hennigan, Noah Hennigan, Liam Hennigan, and Gillian Hennigan; and great-grandchildren, Aria Daigle and Sophia Parker.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Sidney “Buddy” Wade Hennigan; and sister, Ruth Harper.

A gathering of Mr. Hennigan’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 19, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Amelia Baptist Church Kitchen Fund, 8055 Brighton Road, Beaumont, Texas 77707.
