Kenneth Simmons, Sr.
Kenneth Dale Simmons, Sr., 82, of Beaumont, died Sunday, August 4, 2019. He was born on August 5, 1936, to Naomi Roberts Simmons and Kelso Simmons, in Hardinsburg, Kentucky. Kenneth was a devout Christian and always read the bible. He was also an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and playing golf.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Simmons; daughters, Cheryl Finley and her husband, Gorman, of Beaumont and Rebecca Breaux and her husband, Damon, of Sour Lake; son, Kenneth Simmons, Jr. and his wife, Dayna and Brent Simmons and his wife, Jeanette, all of Beaumont; brothers, Woody Simmons of Wisconsin and Gene Simmons and his wife, Barbara, of Illinois; grandchildren, Ryan Morgan and his wife, Angie; Dustin Morgan and his wife, Karrie; Matthew Lawson; Whitney Gallier; Danae Hamilton and her husband, Ryan; Kenneth “Kendal” Simmons III and his wife, Annie; Ross Simmons; and Kate Simmons; and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy Clevinger; and brothers, Del Simmons and Don Simmons.
A memorial service for Mr. Simmons will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at Christian Fellowship, 3950 Pointe Parkway, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
