Kirthew Jackson Parrott, Jr., 84, of Kountze, died Friday, May 15, 2020. He was born on September 28, 1935, in Kountze, to Willie Mae Wolcott Parrott and Kirthew Jackson Parrott, Sr. Kirthew was a retired Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and he was the owner of “PeeWee’s Auto Parts”.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-five years, Rosa Lee Cook Parrott; son, William “Kirk” Parrott and his wife, Katheryn, of Kountze; granddaughters, Carson Nikol Parrott of College Station and Reese Gabrielle Parrott; grandsons, Grayson Alan Parrott and Jackson Eli Parrott, all of Kountze; brother, Paul Douglas Parrott of Zavall; brothers-in-law, David Turner of Lumberton and William “Clifton” Cook of Jacksonville; sister-in-law, Doris Agnes Turner of Lumberton; and nephew and niece, Dennis Cook and Elaine Cook, both of LaVarne, California . Kirthew is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial gathering for Mr. Parrott’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 22, 2020, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. The interment of his cremated body will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 23, 2020, at Holland Cemetery, Kountze. Please observe social distancing guidelines.
