Raymond Lovett, Sr.

Raymond D. Lovett, Sr., 90, of Beaumont, died Thursday, July 25, 2019. He was born on February 19, 1929, in Corrigan, to Zemmer Jane Watson and Oscar Lemuel Lovett. Raymond was a United States Army veteran. He retired in 1990 as owner of Lovett’s Electronics’, which is still in business today.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Dorothy “Dottie” Lovett, of Beaumont; sons, Raymond D. Lovett, Jr., of Beaumont and Mark Baker Lovett, of Miami, Florida; daughter, Lela Lovett Parrish and her husband, Charles Dwayne, of Beaumont; grandchildren, Gentry Lovett and Bailey Blanchard and her husband, Charles Michael, all of Beaumont; Rachel Townsend and her husband, Matthew, of Kountze; and Matthew Parrish and his wife, Gina, of Vail, Colorado; and great-grandchildren, Blythe Elizabeth Blanchard and Tobyn and Noah, all of Beaumont.

A gathering of Mr. Lovett’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 29, 2019, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., at Union Springs Cemetery, 994 Union Springs Road, Corrigan.
