Robert Metz, Sr.

Robert Metz, Sr., 85, of Silsbee, died Saturday, March 30, 2019. He was born on January 20, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, to Cecilia Katherine Kozol Metz and Emil John Metz.

Survivors include his children, Nina Louise Dorn and her husband, Donald, of St. Augustine, Florida; Virginia Katherine Metz of Silsbee; Robert J. Metz, Jr. and his wife, Susan Trevathan, of Kountze; and David John Metz of Orange; grandchildren, Philip Wayne Metz, Jennifer Renee Lee, Hunter Allen Franck, Ella Metz, Amber Renee Trevathan, and Shannon Trevathan; three great-grandchildren; sister, Charlotte Josephine Sims and her husband, Sonny, of Valrico, Florida; nieces and nephews; and mother of his children, Suzanne Dowling.

His committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
