Rosemary Cloud

Rosemary Cloud was born in Toro, Louisiana on February 8, 1938. She entered Heaven’s gate on February 23, 2018.

A consummate mother and homemaker, Rosemary loved preparing her dumplings and dressing for her family and friends. Over the years she collected a large library of cookbooks. Rosemary also enjoyed watching the food and cooking channels. She was an avid Rockets fan and enjoyed watching all sports on TV, as well as Dancing with the Stars. Rosemary also loved watching her grandson ride bulls. She retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Beaumont and was a member of Rosedale Baptist Church.

Rosemary is survived by her brothers, Oscar Morrison and Bill Morrison; sister, Millie Morrison; daughters, Vicki Hartwick Allen and her husband, John; and Rebecca Valencia; sons, Randy Cloud and David Cloud; grandchildren, Brandy Upshaw and her husband, Kevin; Justin Hartwick and his wife, Jolie; Howdy Cloud; Heith Cloud; Blythe Valencia Reich and her husband, Michael; Katelyn Cloud; and Blayde Valencia; and five great-grandchildren, Kade Upshaw, Brianna Upshaw; Rowdy Hartwick, Rainy Hartwick, and Henley Cloud.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Clifton and Nancy Carroll Morrison; husband, Kaz Cloud; and daughter-in-law, Karen Ard Cloud.

The family gives Clairmont Nursing Home and Altus Hospice their greatest gratitude.

A gathering of Mrs. Cloud’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 26, 2018, at Broussard’s, with her entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
