Roy O’Neil Apperson, Sr., 78, of Silsbee, died Saturday, October 6, 2018. He was born on June 26, 1940, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to Vivian Kirkley.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Ann Posey; daughter, Thersea Apperson, of Silsbee; grandchildren, Nicole and Robert Fowler; Ashley Barnes; Shelby and Katelyn Apperson; Mark Apperson, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Ethan Cart, Brielle Barnes, Blake Pyle, Carter Pyle, and Ryker Bearden; and sisters, Barbara Jean Roberts and Paula Schiesler.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Brady Odom; and sons, Mark Apperson, Sr. and Roy O’Neil Apperson, Jr.

A graveside service for Mr. Apperson will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at Old Hardin Cemetery, Old Hardin Road, Kountze, under the direction of, Broussard’s Mortuary, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alzfdn.org.
