Ruby Cravey

Ruby Lee Cravey, 84, of Silsbee, died Wednesday, July 17, 2019. She was born on March 11, 1935, in Kountze, to Lucy Gore McGallion and Samuel McGallion.

Survivors include her children, Jimmie McDurmond of Silsbee; Rusty Cravey of Spurger; and Wayne Cravey of Center; grandchildren, Michele Shook and her husband, Billy, of Spurger; Jimmy Simmons and his wife, Rhonda, of Silsbee; Matthew Jones of Kirbyville; Aaron Jones of Silsbee; Angel Gordon and her husband, Darrell, of Vidor; Mitchelle Cravey and his wife, Honey, of Spurger; Tristan Cravey and J.T. Cravey, both of Center; and Christy McNeely and Brian McNeely and his wife, Kim, all of Fred; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, Ruthie Ard of Warren; Merlon McGallion and Reverend Welton McGallion and his wife, Donna, all of Fred; Elvis McGallion and his wife, Lisa, of Buna; Shirley Winkle of Spurger; Nita Green of Silsbee; and Peggy Sharp. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim A. Cravey; and daughter, Linda McNeely.

A gathering of Ruby’s family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 21, 2019, at Broussard’s, with her interment to follow at Franks Branch Cemetery, Fred.
