Dear family, Many happy memories of Sammy be with you all. And in times of sadness, I hope that you will be comforted by these promises from the Scriptures, for Jehovah is the God of all comfort. “Do not be anxious…..but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.” Isaiah 26:4; 2 Corinthians 1:3-4; Philippians 4:6-7 NWT. In the future sickness will be gone forever. (Isaiah 33:24; Revelation 21:3-5) What a wonderful time that will be.

Know to our online group as two words, "Big Daddy", you were a friend, counselor, and brother to us all. Although most of us who were lucky enough to be part of your CrEw never physically shook your hand, you definitely touched our hearts. Except for the last few years I talked to Sammy more than my own family, literally every day. When news of Sammy's passing came to me, I was shocked and saddened for the loss of a great man. My condolences to Austin and your Sisters, as well as the rest of the family. You may have lived in Texas but your voice reached the world and your light shines bright my friend. Rest in peace.

I met Sam online playing Xbox games so I never met him formally, but that didn't stop me from becoming a friend to him. He always had a good word to say about people and was a genuine person in general. I will never forget him, and the very large group of friends he had brought together across the United states known as the CrEw. He had created a virtual space for us to be United as more than just a gaming team, but as a family. With once over 100 members strong! He really capitalized on family, friendship and brotherhood. He will forever be remembered as a special person by myself, and countless others across this great country. I am from Illinois myself, and would like to give my Condolences to his Son Austin whom I had also met, his daughters Autumn and Alexus, and the rest of his family. A great man will not be forgotten, but relished through time forever. God Bless You my brother.

Sam, or as we of CrEw called him, Big, has forever touched the hearts of us all. He was great leader and a great person. He was so passionate for all of us in CrEw and love his family and friends fiercely. I was lucky enough to meet him in person some years ago. He will never be forgotten and forever missed by his friends, family and his CrEw. Rest in peace my friend.
