Thecla Ann Broussard

June 9, 1929 - May 27, 2018

Thecla Ann Broussard, 88, of Port Arthur, died Sunday, May 27, 2018. She was born on June 9, 1929, in Jeanerette, Louisiana, to Lester Oubre Robicheaux and Gustave Joseph Robicheaux.

Survivors include her children, Linda Hargrave and her husband Keith; Sylvia Petitt and her husband, Robert; Bobby Joe Broussard and his wife, Christine; and Wanda Egler and her husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Jason Breaux and Justin Hargrave; Donnie, Benny, and Kenny Tiller; Justin and Alex Broussard; Kaitlyn Seymour, and Abigail Acevedo; and Joshua and Janessa Egler; nineteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and brother, Tete Robicheaux and his wife, Barbara.

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Waren H. Broussard; mother, Lester Robicheaux Leger; father, Gustave Robicheaux; brothers, Paul, Frank, and Gustave Jr. Robicheaux; and sisters, Sylvia Guardia and Marie Amato.

A gathering of Mrs. Broussard’s family and friends will be at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018, at St. Therese, the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church, 6412 Garnet Avenue, Port Arthur, with her interment following at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
