Vickie Hearn

Vickie Diane Hearn, 67, of Nederland, died Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Christus Hospital – St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born July 28, 1952, in Call, to Dorothy Ophelia Gilcrest and Donald James Ledet.

Vickie was very active in her sons’ activities. She was a team mother for both Randy and Jason’s baseball teams and enjoyed giving and helping with their parties. Vickie loved the outdoors, especially Galveston. She also enjoyed camping, easel painting, and horses.

Survivors include her sons, Randy Hearn, Jr. and his wife, Amanda and Jason Hearn; grandchildren, Marissa Hearn and Coleton Hardy; great-grandchildren, Brylin and Alayna Kantor; brothers, Lonny Rodgers, Sr., Ricky Rodgers, Sr., and Donley Rodgers, Sr.; sister, Debbie Rodgers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Randy Hearn, Sr.; mother-in-law, Jessie May Overstreet; and sisters, Brenda Gail Rodgers and Linda Vallee.

A gathering of Mrs. Hearn’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
