William “Billy” Elliot

March 16, 1982 - May 15, 2017

William P. Elliott III, passed away in his home on May 15, 2017. William, formally known as “Billy”, was born in Beaumont on March 16, 1982. Billy was a father, brother, son and dear friend to all. He graduated from Lamar University with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. Aside from many talents, Billy was an extraordinary photographer; a true god given gift. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and Patriots fan but his loyalty to the LSU Tigers surpassed all. Billy had an innate ability to light up a room and a beyond contagious smile. Known for his humor, congeniality and ‘bear’ hugs, he never met a stranger.

Billy wore a lot of hats, but his most important one was fatherhood. He was assistant coach of his daughter’s soccer team, The Beaumont Golden Gators – a role he took very seriously. He enjoyed powerlifting, painting, Chaba, Notorious B.I.G., Game of Thrones, football and above all – pizza. Billy was a patient, gentle and thoughtful soul. He lived his life like he meant it – with conviction. He was the friend everyone wanted, the sibling and son his family was lucky to have and the father his daughter is blessed to know.

Survivors include his sisters, Kelley Elliott of Houston and Kasey Maher and her husband, Dan, of Boston, Massachusetts; daughter, Ruby Elliott of Beaumont; nephews, Hayes and Hudson Maher; and numerous friends and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William “Pete” Elliott and Judith “Judy” Jones.

A gathering of Mr. Elliott’s family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. with his memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 19, 2017, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Periwinkle Foundation, 3400 Bissonnet Street, Suite 185, Houston, Texas 77005; or to Mental Health America of Southeast Texas, 2444 Broadway, Beaumont, Texas 77702.
