For Five
Generations

“MORE THAN 125 YEARS OF TIME HONORED VALUES”

EST. 1889

A Family Concern

In the late 1800's, Alex Broussard, owner of A. Broussard Livery Stable, opened his first funeral parlor in Southeast Texas. That first wood framed parlor was soon replaced by a large brick facility in downtown Beaumont which still stands today. Later, the family firm moved to a large, stately home at the corner of Calder Avenue and Forest Street. In 1958, they moved to one of their present locations in a quiet neighborhood on McFaddin in Beaumont.

Continuing Our Traditions

In this age of constant corporate funeral home buyouts and takeovers, families find comfort in knowing there is still a family owned and operated firm with five generations of compassion, continuity, and dignity. The Broussard family feels strongly about their traditions and their family's obligation to maintain both the high standards of excellence in service and their ability to serve the entire community by always keeping their services affordable.

O’Neal, the patriarch of the Wilson family, passed peacefully in his sleep on May 2, 2024, at the age of 96. O’Neal was born on September 3, 1927, in Shelby County, Texas and went to several schools as a boy, before graduating from Center in 1944. He enlisted and served in the Army Air Corp and was later drafted back into the Air Force during the Korean War. All in all, he served 5 years, 5 months, and 5 days.
