Oliver A. Balagot
Oliver A. Balagot, 78, of Nederland, died Friday, May 15, 2020, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. He was born September 27, 1941, in La Union, Ilocos in the Philippines, to Felisa Andrada Balagot and Felipe Balagot.
Oliver participated in a variety of things that brought him great joy. Whether it be in the outdoors fishing, gardening, and enjoying watching birds or indoors where he would go bowling or display his skills in the kitchen while cooking for his loved ones. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Teresita Balagot, of Nederland; sons, Marvin Balagot, of Nederland and Kenneth Balagot, of Dallas; grandchildren, Kyle; Kyra; Alyanna; Alyssa; and Alysson; great-grandchild, Joey; and sister, Rosemary Duna, of Campbell River, Canada.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Felisa and Felipe Balagot; and brothers, Roland and Charlie Balagot.
A gathering of Mr. Balagot’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 1:15 p.m. His funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland, with his interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
