Ray Fertitta

May 17, 1927 - April 15, 2018

Ray Fertitta, 90, of Beaumont, died Sunday, April 15, 2018. She was born on May 17, 1927, to Delores Arledge Ogg and Cecil Ogg, and step-dad, Evan Weaver. She and her husband, Charlie, opened up Charlie’s Sandwich Shop in 1979, and later retired at Crystal Beach. She and her husband were married for fifty-four years.

Survivors include her children, Paul Fertitta and his wife, Toni, of Vidor; Mark Fertitta of Austin; and Donna Fertitta and Denise Foley, both of Beaumont; grandchildren, Nicole Walker and her husband, Vernon; Amanda Fertitta; and Dallas Fertitta and his wife, Jamie; great-grandchildren, Vernon Walker and Skylar Walker.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charlie; son, Ronnie; and granddaughter, Tiffany Gorgeous.

A gathering of Mrs. Fertitta’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2018, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Broussard’s, with a graveside service to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont.
