William Bryan Jacobs, Jr.

August 6, 1926 - April 17, 2020

William Bryan Jacobs, Jr., 93, of Nederland, died Friday, April 17, 2020. He was born August 6, 1926, in Port Arthur, to Nell Christine Fitzgerald and William Bryan Jacobs, Sr.

William was a United States Army veteran having served during World War II. He retired from DuPont as an operator in 1985. William enjoyed spending his time with family and friends especially when helping them with a variety of projects.

Survivors include his sons, Thomas Alan Jacobs and wife, Allison, of Prairieville, Louisiana; James Steven Jacobs and wife, Pia, of Nederland; Douglas Carl Jacobs and wife, Rena, of Clairmont, California; Jerome Gale Jacobs and wife, Christa; and Christopher Lee Jacobs and wife, D’Layne, all of Nederland; daughters, Judy Ann Gray and husband, James, of Nederland and Cheryl Marie Read and husband, Ronnie, of Richardson; sister, Carolyn Rae Dixon and husband, Kenneth; and daughter-in-law, Rhonda Jacobs, all of Port Arthur; twenty-seven grandchildren; forty-seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nell and William Jacobs; wife, Grace Jacobs; sons, Jeffrey Lynn Jacobs and William Bryan Jacobs III; brothers, Robert and Don Jacobs; and sisters, Mary Godkin and Katherine Shanks.

A family graveside service for Mr. Jacobs will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.

Jacobs Family you all are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time your dad was a very special friend as is the whole family as one of my oldest friend we go way back from working at gulf oil together to Bill helping me getting on at dupont.. our families had great time at the camps on the angalina river Bill and Grace raised some amazing kids all great examples of there mom and dad the older boys baby sat for our kids in the younger years . we would go long periods of time not seeing each other after we retired but when we would run into each other it was just like no time had past we love the jacobs family you are all in our prayers love and prayers billy and betty dalby and the dalby family..
